Course Details
Location: Ruby Eye Hospital, Berhampur, Odisha
Duration: 1 Month
Program Description
The objective of this fellowship is to expose the candidate to a basic understanding of various retinal disorders and to familiarize them with examination techniques such as slit lamp biomicroscopy, indirect ophthalmoscopy, and indentation.
Fellows will be competent in the use and interpretation of diagnostic modalities like FFA, ICG, OCT, OCTA, USG, and electro-physiological tests. They will also be trained in treating retinal diseases using various laser techniques and intravitreal injections.
Fellows will participate in evaluating and managing patients with medical retinal disorders such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular disorders, central serous retinopathy, ocular inflammation, retinal degeneration, etc.
Extensive experience will be gained in laser photocoagulation and the use of various intravitreal drugs.

Payment Procedures

Visa Requirements
A visa is mandatory for travel to India. Depending on the training duration, participants must obtain a student visa, entry visa, or internship visa.
It is recommended to secure a visa covering the entire training duration before arriving in India.
National Medical Commission (NMC) Approval
International ophthalmologists selected for surgical training must obtain a temporary medical license from the NMC.
The application is processed online, and the institution will assist after receiving required documents.
Final selection is subject to successful NMC approval.
On Arrival at Ruby Eye Hospital
FRRO registration must be completed as per visa guidelines.
If necessary, documents should be presented to the local police commissioner’s office.
